The Tsurugaya Hachiman Shrine Annual Festival is the biggest festival in Awa area having a 1,000-year tradition. It is known as Yawatanmachi in the local area. The mikoshi portable shrines, the Dashi floats, and the boat floats are carried from the shrines in the neighborhood and about 100,000 people visit this popular destination.
