Shizuoka | Yaizu-shi

Traditional handed down practices in Takakusa-sanroku and Sekigata area are carried over as ceremony honoring the mountains by local villagers from ancient times. The villagers invite the god of mountain to their rice field and pray for a good harvest of the year. This ceremony of the oldest style is designated as the intangible folk cultural property and also as the folk cultural property by Yaizu City.
