Sendai Pageant of Starlight is located along the Jozenji-dori Street—a symbolic place of the city. The keyaki (zelkova) trees are decorated with lights by the citizens themselves. The event features Starlight Wink in which all lights turn off in a wink and then light up again at precisely 18:00, 19:00 and 20:00 every day(except 23th). On December 23, a civic participation parade Tales of Santa Claus Woods will be held. To avoid traffic congestion around the venue, it is preferable to use public transportation.
