Takao, Makinoo, and Toganoo are called the Sanbi and all are famous for their autumn foliage in northwestern Kyoto City. The stone stairway on the opposite bank of Shigetsu Bridge over Kiyotaki River is the path to the Makinoo Saimyo-ji Temple. From halfway up the curving stone stairway one can enjoy the beautiful view of the flowing Kiyotaki River and red colored maple leaves.
