Takao, Makinoo, and Toganoo are called the Sanbi and all are famous for their autumn foliage in northwestern Kyoto City. Toganoosan, Kozan-ji Temple is a study temple that was rebuilt by the monk Myoe on the orders of the Gotoba Emperor in the Kamakura Period; it is also known as the birthplace of the tea ceremony. It was registered as a World Heritage site
