The Pond of Takamatsu is where the Nanbu clan built an embankment in order to build the castle town. The pond is surrounded by the Takamatsu Park, which is a famous place for viewing cherry blossoms. It has also been selected as one of Japan’s 100 famous places for viewing cherry blossoms. Visitors can enjoy the fantastic view of cherry blossoms lit by lanterns reflected on the surface of the pond.
